| Interview Earnest Stewart | | Print | |

A couple of weeks ago The Playerspool (part of Training Trips) had a very interesting interview with Earnest (Earnie) Stewart. Our main interview goal was to find out about the differences between US and Dutch soccer. We think we couldn’t find a better person to tell us about these differences. Earnest Stewart has had more than 100 caps for the USA National Team. He has played in Holland in the Dutch Eredivisie (for several clubs) from 1988 till 2003. He also played 2 season for DC United (2003-2004) where he won the MLS Cup in his second season and he finished his playing career in Holland in 2005. In 2006 he was named technical director of NAC Breda and this year Earnest has been appointed as AZ’s Technical Director. AZ was Dutch Champion in 2009.
